
Addis Ababa, Apr 27 (Prensa Latina) The Ethiopia Investment Commission signed memorandums of understanding with four Chinese companies interested in investing in Ethiopia, the Prime Minister”s Office reported Saturday in a statement.
The agreements with the companies Zhende Medical, Amity Printing, Taison and Green Diamond, and CGCOC were initialed in Beijing, as part of the Belt and Road 2nd Forum concluding this Saturday in Beijing.
Zhende Medical plans to invest in a pharmaceutical plant in Kilinto Industrial Park while Amity Printing will establish a printing factory, an official letter said.
Taison and Green Diamond, on the other hand, aspire to settle in Assosa, Benishangul Gumuz’s regional state, to manufacture around one million tons of pulp paper per year.
On the other side, CGCOC will build in Awash Fentale, in the Afar region, a meat processing industry, which will be able to slaughter 300,000 cattle and 3 million sheep each year.
