Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed assures Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah Burhan of Ethiopia’s support

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on Tuesday met with the head of the Sudan’s Transitional Military Council (TMC) Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah Burhan.
“General Abdel Fattah recognized Ethiopia as a close ally of Sudan and asked the prime minister to share his advice on key concerns raised,” the office of the prime minister said in a statement without giving further details.
Abiy assured Burhan of Ethiopia’s support with a commitment to non-interference, the statement said.
The prime minister advised the Sudanese leadership to be inclusive in the transitional process, according to the statement.
