On 10 December, an Ethiopian Airlines De Havilland Canada Dash 8 (ET-AQC) ran off the runway at Juba International Airport, South Sudan. The aircraft, taking off for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, ran off the runway during bad weather. Luckily, the passengers were able to safely evacuate the aircraft.

An Ethiopian Airlines DHC8-Q402 ran off the runway at Juba International Airport this evening. All passengers have been evacuated and no injuries reported so far. Aircraft has sustained damage, and all landings into Juba are made via the unorthrodox runway 31
