US suspends some aid to Ethiopia over dam dispute with Egypt

አሜሪካ ለኢትዮጵያ ልትሰጥ የነበረውን 130 ሚልዮን ዶላር ገደማ በቅርቡ ያገደችው በፕሬዝደንት ትራምፕ ትእዛዝ እና አመራር መሆኑን ስቴት ዲፓርትመንት ያሉ ምንጮቼ ነግረውኛል ሲል AP ዘግቧል።
On the guidance of President Donald Trump, the State Department said Wednesday the U.S. is suspending some aid to Ethiopia over the “lack of progress” in the country’s talks with Egypt and Sudan over a massive, disputed dam project it is completing on the Nile River.
ይህም ኢትዮጵያ ከግብፅ እና ሱዳን ጋር ስታደርግ የነበረው ውይይት ውጤት አልባ መሆኑን ተከትሎ ኢትዮጵያን ተጠያቂ በማድረግ እንደሆነ ተጠቅሷል። በተጨማሪም “ስምምነት ላይ ሳይደረስ የግድቡን ሙሌት በቅርቡ በማከናወኗ” ነው ተብሏል።
