Today, we are highlighting another aspect of the partnership between the United States and Ethiopia. In support of the Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF)’s effort to disrupt the threats posed by al-Shabaab in Somalia and other terrorist organizations, the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), working with the Ethiopian Ministry of Defense, provided $2.9 million worth of training and equipment to the ENDF this month. The equipment donated includes land cruisers, troop transports, ambulances, cargo and fuel trucks, water trailers, operations center computers, and night vision devices. This donation is just one way the U.S. government supports our Ethiopian partner forces in their fight against terrorism.
የአልሸባብን የሽብር ስጋትነትና የሌሎችንም አሸባሪዎች እንቀስቃሴ በሶማሊያ ለመመከት የኢትዮጵያን የመከላከያ ሠራዊት አሜሪካ በስልጠናና ቁሳቁስ እየደገፈች መሆኑን ኤምባሲው አስታውቋል፡፡ኤምባሲው እንዳመለከተው እስከ አውሮፓውያኑ የዚህ ወር መጨረሻ ድረስ 2 ነጥብ 9 ሚሊዮን የአሜሪካ ዶላር ግምት ያለው ስልጠና እና የቁሳቁስ ድጋፍ ለኢትዮጵያ መከላከያ ሚኒስቴር ይደረጋል፡፡ ድጋፎቹ ወታደራዊ ተሽከርካሪዎችን፣ የነዳጅ ማጓጓዣና ማከማቻዎችን፣ የጨለማ ጊዜ መመልከቻዎችንና ሌሎችንም ያካተተ እንደሆነም ኤምባሲው አስታውቋል፡፡
