ADDIS ABEBA – Ethiopia has registered 499 more COVID-19 cases on Thursday, bringing the national tally to 104, 427.
At least 5, 200 coronavirus tests have been carried out over the past twenty-four hours in the country to identify the new positive cases, according to the ministry’s daily Covid-19 report.
The report also noted additional 6 people have passed away due to Covid-19 on the day, pushing the death toll to 1, 607.
The country currently has over 37, 800 active case. Of these, at least 316 patients are severely ill, according to Health officials.
They said, over the past twenty-four hours, at least 390 more people have recuperated from the respiratory disease caused by coronavirus.
The total number of recoveries is now 64, 983, Thursday’s report indicated.
To date, the country has conducted more than 1.58 million laboratory tests.
