In a climate full of joy and grace of the Resurrection of our Lord, the few Greek and Ethiopian Orthodox believers, living in the city of Dire Dawa in eastern Ethiopia, celebrated in the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity

Metropolitan Daniel of Axum officiated with the Grace of God the mystery of divine Eucharist giving to the faithful the opportunity to receive Lord’s Body and Blood.

The Resurrected Paean “Christ is Risen” sang with longing and anticipation. Everyone partook of the Glass of Life, living the expectation of the Resurrection in the present and in the future.

The holy pulpit was served by the Reader and Secretary of the Holy Metropolis, Mr. George Constantine, who came from Syria.

Metropolitan Daniel of Axum conveyed the wishes and paternal love of the Alexandrian Primate Mr. Theodoros II to the remaining Greeks, Mr. George Georgali, the age-old Mrs. Eleni, Mrs. Zacharoula and the two young children of the parish, Gerasimos and Ioannis.

After the the Divine Liturgy, a Trisagion service was performed in the tombs behind the altar , where the founder of the Temple and Great Benefactor Stylianos Bololakos, the Archimandrites Gabriel and Jason Tsolakos and Panagiotis Georgalis rest in the Lord.
