“Words cannot describe the pain we have suffered. We were torched, our fingernails pulled; drenched in cold water and flogged. There is still a prisoner who is bleeding from the mouth and nose” prisoners of the federal police
This is a report compiled by an independet media, Ethio 251 media, a report done by interviewing all the victims at Addis Ababa Federal Police Commission prisons.
A victim, who gave his testimony to Ethio 251 media, told us the following. We have presented the raw facts as narrated by the victims as well as the reporter’s witness.
“Words cannot describe the pain we have experienced. Now that we are arrested, the public may be worried. But for us, considering what happened to us in the torture place, this police station is our luxury home” said one of them.
Another victim an enginer by profession said; “I have difficulty breathing because of the beating”. Our correspondent witnessed the suffering in person.
As we have seen with our own eyes, a female prisoner is still bleeding from her mouth and nose.
There are those who have fainted due to the number of lashes and are unable to eat. Some were done with an electric torch. Some said he was flogged while being drenched in cold water, and his nails were pulled out. There are those who could not withstand all these beatings, who could neither eat nor control themselves, and defecated on them. “Our tormentors, yet watching this suffering, have deliberately denied us treatment”.
In addition; “Although 28 of us came to the police station, there are thousands of prisoners who are still suffering in the torture chambers of concenteation camps, at unverified locations. These citizens were abducted from Ataye, Shwarobit, Kobo, Woldya, Gojam, Gondar and Addis Ababa.
victims of this horrendous crime has finally asked; << religious leaders, human rights defenders, international media, the House of Representatives, the elders of the country, if they are true; to come and see how we are>> .
Among many prisones, 28 Amhara prisoners were in a dark room for 13 days to 21 days and after all this violence and suffering, they were transferred to the prison of the Federal Police Commission.

‹‹የደረሰብንን ስቃይ ቃላት አይገልጹትም፤ በኤሌክትሪክ ቶርች ተደርገናል፣ ጥፍራችን ተነቅሏል፤ በቀዝቃዛ ውሃ እየተነከርን ተገርፈናል፤ አሁንም በአፍና በአፍንጫው ደም የሚፈሰሰው ታሳሪ አለ›› በፌደራል ፖሊስ የሚገኙ እስረኞች
የዚህ አፋኝ ቡድን ሰለባ የሆኑትን አማራዎች ከአዲስ አበባ ፌድራል ፖሊስ ኮሚሽን በሚገኘው እስር ቤት የኢትዮ 251 ሚዲያ ዘጋቢ በቦታው ተገኝቶ የደረሰባቸውን ሁሉ ጠይቆ ያጠናቀረው ዘገባ ነው።
ለኢትዮ 251 ሚዲያ አስተያየታቸውን የሰጡት ግፉኣን የሚከተለውን ብለውናል፡፡ እኛም ጥሬ ሃቆቹን እና ዘጋቢው የተመለከተውን ብቻ ወደ እናንተ አቅርበናል።
‹‹የደረሰብንን ስቃይ ቃላት አይገልጹትም፡፡ አሁን ስንታሰር ህዝቡ ሊጨነቅ ይችላል፡፡ ለእኛ ግን በማሰቃያ ቦታው የደረሰብንን ስንመለከት ይህ ፖሊስ ጣቢያ የቅንጦት ቤታችን ነው›› የአንደኛው አስተያየት፤
ሌላኛው አስተያየት ሰጪ ደግሞ፤ ‹‹በደረሰብኝ ድብደባ መተንፈስ ተቸግሬያለሁ›› ሲል ተናግሯል፡፡ ዘጋቢያችን በአካል ተገኝቶም የኢንጂነሩን ስቃይ ተመልክቷል፡፡
በአይን እንደተመለከትነው አንዷ እህታችን እስካሁን በአፍና በአፍንጫዋ ደም እየፈሰሳት ነው።
በግርፋት ብዛት ራሳቸውን የሳቱና ምግብ መመገብ የማይችሉ አሉ፡፡ በኤሌክትሪክ ቶርች የተደረገ አለ፤ በቀዝቃዛ ውሃ እየተነከረ የተገረፈም አለ፣ ጥፍሩ የተነቀለም አለ፡፡ ይህን ሁሉ ግርፋት መቋቋም ያልቻሉ ወንድሞቻችን ምግብ መመገብም ሆነ ራሳቸውን መቆጣጠር ተስኗቸው እላያቸው የሚጸዳዱም አሉ፡፡ “የእኛ ስቃይ የማይታያቸው ገራፊዎቻችን ሆን ብለው ህክምና ከልክለውናል”፡፡
በተጨማሪም፤ ‹‹28ታችን ወደ ፖሊስ ጣቢያ መጣን እንጂ አሁንም በማሰቃያ ቤቱ መከራቸውን እያዩ ያሉ በሺዎች የሚቆጠሩ ወንድሞቻችን አሉ፡፡ እነዚህ ወንድሞቻችን ከአጣዬ፣ ሽዋሮቢት፣ ቆቦ፣ ወልድያ፣ ጎጃም፣ ጎንደር እና አዲስ አበባ በግፍ ታፍነው የተወሰዱ ናቸው፡፡
<<የሀይማኖት አባቶች፣ የሰብአዊ መብት ተሟጋቾች፣ ዓለም አቀፍ ሚዲያዎች፣ የህዝብ ተወካዮች ምክር ቤት፣ የሀገር ሽማግሌዎች የሚባሉት እውነት ካሉ፤ አሁን መጥተው ያለንበትን ይመልከቱ>> ሲሉ በጋራ አስተያየታቸውን ሰጥተዋል፡፡
እነዚህ 28 የአማራ ተወላጆች ከ13 ቀን እስከ 21 ቀን በጨለማ ክፍል ውስጥ እንደነበሩ እና ከዚህ ሁሉ ግፍ እና ስቃይ በኋላ ወደ ፌድራል ፖሊስ ኮሚሽን ወደ ሚገኘው እስር ቤት እንደተዛወሩ ገልጸዋል።
ውድ የኢትዮ 251 ሚዲያ ቤተሰቦች በዚህ ጉዳይ ላይ ተጨማሪ ማጣራት እና ተከታታይ ዘገባ ወደ እናንተ እንደምናደርስ እንገልጻለን።

“ውድ የአሻራ ሚዲያ ቤተሰቦች የአሻራ ሚዲያ ቻናልን ላይክና ሰብስክራይብ በማድረግ ድጋፋችሁን ታሳዩን ዘንድ በአክብሮት እንጠይቃለን።”
