Darfur forces have urged the African Union Peace and Security Council (AUPSC) and international community to adopt a mechanism to fight rebel movements in Darfur, adding the neighboring countries, including Egypt and South Sudan’s support for the rebellion in Sudan threatens the security of the African region.

Spokesman for the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM), Ahmed Abdelmajid, said that Egypt and South Sudan’s support of the armed movements is unacceptable and would disrupt its relations with the African neighboring countries, pointing out that the rebel movements attack on some areas in eastern Darfur is a clear breach to cease-fire.

Leader of the Sudan Liberation Party, Ibrahim al-Jaili, said that the Darfur rebels take this irresponsible step, in an attempt to destabilize the security and stability of Darfur, which confirms that they are not interested in the peace, considering the armed movements’ attack on East Darfur came as suicide, especially it lost its most prominent leaders during the attack.

Enemies of World Peace

Speaking to the SMC the leader of the Liberation and Justice Party Abdul Karim Musa, said the that the rebels are the enemies of peace and world peace, pointing to their efforts to make the regional neighborhood in chaos, he added, “The international community must pay attention to what the Government of the South and Hafatr in Libya to destabilize the region, and appropriate measures toward their support “.

The Vice-President of the Future Forces Abdul Qader Ibrahim, urged the international community to put an end to these provocations, indicating that the rebels are aiming to drag Sudan to the brink of war.

He added that the JEM and the Sudan Liberation Movement- Minawi have no choice but peace.
