A foundation stone was laid on Saturday for the construction of a state-of-the-art convention and exhibition center, dubbed the Addis-Africa International Convention and Exhibition Center, to be built in Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa.
China’s CGCOC Group, which has extensive experience in constructing international convention facilities, will be in charge of the construction.
The center, to cost more than 3 billion Ethiopian birr ($130 million), will include a conference hall, exhibition centers, a five-star hotel, restaurants and business centers, among other facilities.
