
“More significantly I also wish to congratulate you and the people of Ethiopia for the manner in which you have managed the political transition. You have made Africa proud.”
The Kenyan Head of State said he looked forward to working closely with the incoming Prime Minister to consolidate ties between the two countries.
He said this will be realised through excellent bilateral relations and a strong cooperation in regional and multilateral issues that Kenya and Ethiopia have forged for over time.
“I particularly look forward to our joint efforts in the pursuit of regional and continental peace, stability and development,” Uhuru said.
He adds that this will pursued within the framework of the Inter-Governmental Authority for Development (IGAD) and the African Union (AU).
