(1) ብረታ ብረትና ኢንጂነሪንግ ኮርፖሬሽን (ሜቴክ) በጁን 9 ቀን 2014 ዓ/ም ከደረቅ ቁሻሻ 100 ሜጋ ዋት ኤሌትሪክ ኃይል ለማመንጨት ከአዲስ አበባ ከተማ አስተዳደር እና ከኢትዮጰያ ኤሌትሪክ ኃይል አገልግሎት ጋር ስምምነት አድርገው ነበር፡፡ በተመሳሳይ ሜቴክ ከካናዳ ካንፓኒጋር የደረቅ ቁሻሻ ወደ ኤሌትሪክ ኃይል ማመንጫ የሚቀይር ቴክኖሎጅ ለመግዛት ስምምነት መፈራረሙ ተገልፆ ነበር፡፡ ሜቴክ ከወር በኃላ ሥራውን እንደሚጀምር አስታውቆ ነበር፡፡ የደረቅ ቁሻሻው ፕሮጀክት ሥፍራም በአዲስ አበባ ከተማ ውስጥ በአቃቂ ቃሊቲ እና ቦሌ አራብሳ እንደሚሆን ይፋ ተደርጎ ነበር፡፡ ፕሮጀክቱ 75 በመቶ የኤሌትሪክ ኃይል የሚያመነጨው ከደረቅ ቁሻሻ ሲሆን 25 በመቶው ደግሞ ከእርጥብ/ ፈሳሺ ቁሻሻ እንደሚሆን ገልጾ ነበር፡፡ ለፕሮጀክቱ መሥሪ ቦታ 14 ሄክታር መሬት ጠይቆ ለመረከብ በዝግጅት ላይ ነበር፡፡ የፕሮጀክቱ የፋይናንስ ገንዘብ ምንጭ በካናዲያን ካንፓኒ እንደሆነ ተገልጾ ነበር፡፡ የፕሮጀክቱ ሥራ እንደተጠናቀቀና የኤሌትሪክ ኃይል ማመንጨት እንጀመረ፣ የኢትዮጰያ ኤሌትሪክ ኃይል አገልግሎት የፕሮጀክቱን ወጪ በሜቴክ በኩል እንደሚከፍል ታውቆል፡፡ የብሪቲሽ ካንፓኒ የረፒ የደረቅ ቁሻሻ የኤሌትሪክ ኃይል ማመንጫ ሥራ በኢስ አበባ እንደጀመረ ሪፖርተር ጋዜጣ ዘግቦ ነበር፡፡ ፕሮጀክቱ ምን ደርሶ ይሆን!!!
MetEc to produce 100MW electric power from waste ..June 9, 2014
Addis Ababa, 9 June 2014 -Metal and Engineering Corporation (MetEc) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Addis Ababa city administration and the Ethiopian Electric Power Service to produce 100 MW of electric power from Addis Ababa’s waste. MetEc has also signed an agreement last week with the Canadian company that provides the technology for generating electric power from waste. MetEc is expected to begin operation next month once it finalized the agreement with the Canadian company. The waste power generators will be located at the Akaki-Kaliti and Bole-Arabsa solid waste sites.The project’s 75% power will be generated from Addis Ababa’s solid waste and the remaining 25% is known to be from the city’s liquid waste. MetEc is preparing to receive fourteen hectares of land for the project. The finance source for the project will be provided by the Canadian company. The amount of electric power generated depends on the amount of waste available. Once the project is finalized and when power generation is started, Ethiopian Electric Power Service will issue the payment for the project through MetEc. It is remembered that a British company named Harvard had began operation to generate electric power from the waste located at the Repi area of Addis. source: Reporter
‹‹የሜቴክ ሚሊየነሮች!!!›› ጀነራል ሳሞራ ዮኑስ ሶፍያ ሞል ፎቅ ገንብቶል ሃያ ሁለት ቺቺኒያ ሌላ ፎቅ በመገንባት ላይ ይገኛል፡፡ ሜቴክ ጀነራል ማኔጀር ብርጌደር ጀነራል ክንፉ ዳኘው ፎቅ ገንብተው ሆቴል ቤት አድርገውታል፡፡ የሁለቱ ጀነራሎች ሚስቶች እህትማማቶች ናቸው፡፡ ሜቴክ የግሉ ዘርፍ ኢንቨስተሮች የሚሰሩትን ስራ በመንጠቅ ብዙዎቹን ከንግድ ዓለም በማሰወጣታቸው ነው በግሉ ዘርፍ የተሰማሩት የሃገሪቱ ነጋዴዎች የሚመሰክሩት፡፡ አንድ ግዜ ሜቴክ ለፎቅ ግንባታ የሚውል የተለያዩ ፌሮ ብረቶች አስራ ሦስት ቢሊዩን ብር የሚገመት የብረት ምርት ክምችት ፣አምርቶ አልሸጥ ብሎት ለመንግስት አቤቱታ ማሰማቱ የቅርብ ግዜ ትዝታ ነው፡፡ ሜቴክ የወታደራዊ ምርቶችን ከማምረት አልፎ ለምን የሲቪሉ የግል ባለሃብቶች የተሰማሩበትን የማኑፋክቸሪንግ የንግድ ስራ ላይ ይሻማል!!! አባቱ ዳኛ ልጁ ቀማኛ! ማለት ይሄ አይደለም፡፡የህወሃት የመከላከያ የጦር አበጋዞች ከሜቴክ በሙስና በዘረፉት ገንዘብ በአዲስአበባና በክልል ከተሞች ፎቆች እንደገነቡ የአደባባይ ሚስጥር ነው፡፡ ከህዝብ የሚሰወር ምንም ሚስጥር የለም እውነትና ንጋት እያደር ይታወቃል፡፡
በህወሃት/ኢህአዴግ መንግስት በመከላከያ ሚኒስትር ሥር የሚገኘው፣የብረታ ብረትና ኢንጂነሪንግ ኮርፖሬሽን (ብኢኮ)ከግሉ ዘርፍ ኢንቨስተሮች ጋር ያለ ነፃ የገበያ ውድድር፣ከመንግስት ያለአንዳች ጨረታና ውድድር የሚሰጠው በብዙ ቢሊዩን ብር ፕሮጀክቶች ሥራ ያገኛሉ፡፡እነዚህ መንግስታዊ የንግድ ድርጅቶች ባላቸው የፖለቲካ ሥልጣንና መንግስታዊ ወገንተኝነት ሁሉ ነገር አለጋ በአልጋ እንደሚሆንላቸው ሳይታለም የተፈታ ነው፡፡ ለዚህ ነው የግሉ ዘርፍ በሚፈፀምበት አድሎ የሚቀጭጨውና የነፃ ንግዱ ውድድር ፍትሃዊ ባለመሆኑ ምክንያት ለኪሳራ የሚዳረገው፡፡ በዓለማችን በሚገኙ ሃገራቶች የባቡር ትራንስፖርት ዘርፍ መሠረተ ልማት ግንባታ፣የስካüር ፋብሪካዎች ግንባታና የብረታብረት ኢንደስትሪዎች ግንባታ በግሉ ዘርፍ ኢንቨስተሮች ሃብትና እውቀት የሚሰሩ ፕሮጀክቶች እንደሆኑ ይታወቃል፡፡ በኢትዩጵያ ግን እነዚህ ዘርፎች በመንግስታዊ ዘርፍ ቁጥጥር ስር በሆኑ ድርጅቶች እንዲሰሩ በማድረግ የግሉን ዘርፍ እንዳይሰራ ያገለለ ሆኖ እናገኛለን፡፡ ይህም ባይተገበር በጋራ በመንግስትና በግሉ ዘርፎች ቢሰራ ይመረጣል፡፡ ለዚህ ነው ሜቴክ የመሳሰሉት በመንግስታዊ ሞኖፖሊነት የህዳሴው ግድብ፣የማዳበሪያ ፋብሪካ፣ የኢትዩጵያ ባቡር ኮርፖሬሽንና፣ የኢትዩጵያ ስካüር ኮርፖሬሽን፣ ፕሮጀክቶች ሥራን ጠቅሎ እንዲሰራ መደረጉ ይታወቃል፡፡የህወሃት መንግስት ለመከላከያ ሚኒስቴር ፣ለብረታ ብረትና ኢንጂነሪንግ ኮርፖሬሽን ከሠጣቸው ፕሮጀክቶች መካከል በጥቂቱ ቀጥለን በዝርዝር እናቀርባለን፡-
(2) ሜቴክ የኢትዮጵያ ኤሌትሪክ ኃይል ኢንጅነሪንግ ኢንደስትሪ፣(Ethiopia Power Engineering Industry (EPEI) በታላቁ የኢትዩጵያ ህዳሴ ግድብ የፕሮጀክት ሥራ ላይ የኤሌክትሮ ሜካኒካል ሥራ የአምስት ቢሊዩን ዩኤስ ዶላር የኮንትራት ሥራ መቀመጫውን ፓሪስ ካደረገው የአልሰም (Alstom SA) ካንፓኒ ስምንት ተርባይንስና ጀነሬተሮች በ250ሚሊዩን ዩሮ (333 ሚሊዩን ዩኤስ ዶላር) በማቅረብ ተስማምቶል፡፡የኢትዮጵያ ኤሌትሪክ ኃይል ኢንጅነሪንግ ኢንደስትሪ የድለላ ሥራ በማከናወን ከአልሰም ኮሚሽን ያገኛል፡፡ እንዲሁም መሠረቱን አሜሪካ ካደረገው ሶላር ፓኔል ማኑፋክቸር ስፓየር ኮርፖሬሽን (Spire Corp.) እና ከቻይና ፖሊ ግሩፕ ኮርፖሬሽን (China Poly Group Corp.)ጋር የኢንጅነሪንግና የማኑፋክቸሪንግ ፕሮጀክቶች ሥራን በማከናወንና ከነዚህ ድርጅቶች ሜቴክ በድለላ ሥራ ኮሚሽን ቦጭቆ፣ የኢትዩጵያ ህዝብ ይቦጭቃል፡፡
‹‹The Ethiopian Electric Power Corp. contracted METEC to build the electro-mechanical works for the $5 billion Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam on the Blue Nile River in partnership with Alstom. The Paris-based company will provide eight turbines and generators for 250 million euros ($333 million) to METEC and commission the plant.››
‹‹METEC awarded Alstom a €250m ($326m) worth contract in January 2013, to supply eight 375MW Francis turbines and generators for phase 1 of the Grand Renaissance hydro power project. Alstom will also provide engineering and power plant commissioning services as part of the contract. Tratos has been awarded a contract by Salini to provide low-and high-voltage cables for the project….Two underground power houses will be situated on the river’s right and left banks downstream of the main dam. The power houses will be equipped with ten and five 375MW Francis turbine units respectively. A 500kV double bus-bar switchyard will be built 1.4km downstream of the main dam to transmit the output of the hydroelectric plant.››… ‹‹It is the main electromechanical and hydraulics steel structure contractor of the Renaissance Dam. The Corporation has provided steel products used for the work of diverting the course of the river, which was officially commissioned on May 28. ››
በሜይ 17ቀን 2015 እኤአ በኢትዩጵያ ሄራልድ ጋዜጣ ላይ በወጣው መረጃ መሠረት የመከላከያ ሚንስቴር፣የብረታ ብረት ኮርፖሬሽን አንዱ አካል የሆነው የኢትዩጵያ ፓወር ኢንጅነሪንግ ኢንደስትሪ በስሩ ሰባት ፋብሪካዎች በማቀፍ በኦሮሚያ ክልል በቡራዩ ከተማ የተገነባው ታጠቅ ትራንስፎርመር ማምረጫ ፋብሪካ በ350 ሚሊዩን ብር ወጪ መነንባቱ ተገልፆል፡፡ የኮርፖሬሽኑ የኢትዩጵያ ፓወር ኢንጅነሪንግ ኢንደስትሪ ዋና ስራ አስኪያጅ ሻለቃ አሰፋ ዩሐንስ ለኃል ማማንጫ፣ማስተላለፍያ፣ማሰራጫና ለኃይል ቁጠባ የሚያገለግሉ ፓወር ፕላንቶጭን ፤የኤሌትሪክ እቃዎችና መለዋወጫዎች፣የዲዛይን፣የምርትና ተከላ ስራ በመስራት ከፍተኛ ሰኬት እንዳስመዘገቡ ይገልፃሉ፡፡ ፋብሪካው 12 ሽህ የተለያዩ አቅምና መጠን ያላቸው ትራንስፎርመሮችን እንዲሁም 100 ሽህ ኪሎ ሜትር የሚሆን የተለያዩ ኬብሎችን በማምረት ለገበያ እንደሚያቀርብ ገልፀዋል፡፡ ፋብሪካውን ወደፊት ወደ ኢንድስትሪ ዞን በመቀየር ሰፋፊ የኢንደስትሪ ልማት ለማካሄድ እቅድ እንዳለ ገልፀዋል፡፡ እንደ ውኃ ማቆር፣ ፋብሪካ ማቆር በኢንድስትሪ ዞን ስም የገበሬውን መሬት መንጠቅ እየተስፋፋ የመጣ የዘመኑ በሽታ ነው፡፡ በኢትዩጵያ የግል ዘርፉን የኢኮኖሚ ተሳትፎ የነጠቀው መንግስታዊው ዘርፍ የሆነው የመከላከያ ሚንስቴር፣የብረታ ብረት ኮርፖሬሽን እራሱን ለገበያ ውድድርና ጥናት ያላዘጋጀ በአድሎ ያለጨረታና ጥናት ስራዎች በመንግስት ሰለሚሠጠው እራሱን ለመፈተሸ ዕድል የተነፈገ ኮርፖሬሽን ነው፡፡ ኮርፖሬሽኑ ከቻይና ከቱርክ አሮጌ ፋብሪካ ገዝቶ አገር ውስጥ በመግጠም፤ ከአፍሪካ አንደኛ ከአለም አስረኛ ወጣን እያለ በመለፈፍ ውጪ መርፌና ምላጭ እንካóን ስርቶ አያውቅም፣ ትራንስፎርመር ገጣጠምን ነው ፈበረክን ነው የምትሉን kንkችሁ አልገባ አለን፡፡
(3) የከሰል ፎስፌት ማዳበሪያ ኮንፕሌክስ ፕሮጀክት (Coal Phosphate Fertilizer Complex project) ሜቴክ ለፕራይቬታይዜሽንና መንግስታዊ ኢንተርፕራይዝ ተቆጣጣሪ ድርጅት( Privatization and Public Enterprises Supervising Agency)ጋር የ2.8 ቢሊዩን ብር የከሰል ፎስፌት ማዳበሪያ ኮንፕሌክስ ፕሮጀክት በመስራት ላይ ይገኛል፡፡ ፋብሪካውም ከአዲስአበባ ከተማ 600 ኪሎ ሜትር ርቀት ላይ በምትገኘው በኦሮሚያ ክልል በኢሉባቡር ዞን ውስጥ በመገንባት ላይ ይገኛል፡፡ የህወሃት መንግስት 2.8 ቢሊዩን ብር ሁለት የማዳበሪያ ፋብሪካዎች ለመገንባት አቅዶል፡፡ሜቴክ የሚገነባቸው አምስቱ የዳፕና ሦስቱ ዩሪያ ማዳበሪያ ፋብሪካዎች ሲሆኑ 2013/14 መጨረሻ ተጠናቀው ያልቃሉ ተብሎ ይገመታል፡፡ስምምነቱን የተፈራረሙት የፕራይቬታይዜሽን በየነ ገብረመስቀልና የሜቴክ ኮነሬል ሙሉ ወልደገብርኤል ሲሆኑ የኢንቨስትመንት ወጭው 55 ቢሊዩን ብር እንደሆነ ከድረ-ገፁ መረዳት ተችሎል፡፡ ነገር ግን ፕራይቬታይዜሽን መንግስታዊ ኢንተርፕራይዝ ተቆጣጣሪ ድርጅት ‹የመንግስት የልማት ድርጅቶችን› ወደ ግሉ ዘርፍ ማስተላለፍ እንጂ ይሄን ዓይነት የግንባታ ሥራ እንዲሰራና እንዲያስፋፋ ስልጣን በአዋጅ አልተሠጠውም፡፡ ለፕራይቬታይዜሽን ድርጅት በሙስና የዘቀጠ ድርጅት ሲሆን አንድ ቀን በሰራው ስራ ይጠየቅበታል፡፡ የማዳበሪያ ፋብሪካው ሲጠናቀቅ በሜቴክ ቅርብ ግዜ በተቆቆመው ‹የኬሚካል ኢንደስትሪ ኮርፖሬሽን› እንደሚዘዋወር ውስጥ አዋቂዎች አረጋግጠዋል፡፡ በ2014 የህወሃት/ኢህአዴግ መንግስት የግብርና ግብዓቶች አቅርቦት ኢንተርፕራይዝ (Agricultural Input Supply Enterprise) በማለት ያቆቆመው መንግስታዊ ድርጅት፣ 900,000ሽህ ቶን ፈርትላይዘር፣ 375,000 ቶን ዩሪያ(381.5 ዩኤስ ዶለር)ና 521,000 ቶን ኤንፒእስ NPS (412ዩኤስ ዶለር) ዋጋ ፈርትላይዘር ለመግዛት ጫረታ ስጥተዋል፡፡ሃገሪቱ ለማዳበሪያ በአመት 357,714,500 ዩኤስ ዶለር (14,308,580,000 ቢሊዩን ብር) የውጭ ምንዛሪ ታወጣለች፡፡ በግ.ቀ.ኃ.ሥ ዘመን አንስተው በኢትዩጵያ የሚቼል ኮትስ ካንፓኒ ባለቤት አቶ ገብረየስ ቤኛ በሃገሪቱ የፈርትላይዘር ምርቶችን ወደ ሀገር ውስጥ ለመጀመሪያ ግዜ በማስተዋወቅና አስገብቶ በማከፋፈል ይታወቁ ነበር፡፡ እኝህን የግል ባለሃብትን ከስራቸው ነቅለው፣የህወሃት/ኢህአዴግ መንግስት ገበሬውን የራሳቸው ጭሰኛ በማድረግ ማዳበሪያ የማከፋፈሉን ስራ መንግስታዊ ድርጅትና የፖለቲካ ድርጅቶች ተረከቡት፡፡ የሃገራችን እድገት የግሉን ዘርፍ ስራ በግፍ በመንጠቅ ለመንግስታዊ ዘርፍ በማስተላለፍ መንግስታዊ ሞኖፖሊን ማስፋፋት ነው፡፡
‹‹MetEC is also building Yayu Coal Phosphate Fertilizer Complex project, 600km west of the capital in the Illubabor Zone, Oromia Regional State. It is one of the two fertilizer factories that the federal government wants built at a total cost of 2.8 billion Birr. …Michael said. The fertilizer project will be transferred to the newly formed Chemical Industry Corp. when it’s finished.››
‹‹Moreover, the Ethiopia ‘Metal and Engineering Corporation’ (METEC), a government engineering company, is in advanced stages of completing eight fertilizer producing factories, five of which will be producing Diammonium Phosphate DAP and three for Urea and Ethiopia is targeting reaching production stage by the 2013/14 cropping season.››
‹‹ MetEC is also building a Coal Phosphate Fertilizer Complex in the Oromia Regional state and is the main contractor for the Sugar Corporation, a state-owned enterprise developing cane plantations and building multiple processors across the country at a cost of about USD 5 billion. ››

Signing of the agreement was done by Beyene Gebre-Meskel, Director General of PPESA and Col. Mulu Wolde-Gabriel Project management Deputy Director with Metal Engineering. According to Col. Mulu, the agreement is to construct five urea and three Dap (Directory Access Protocol) A protocol used to gain access to an X.500 directory listing. See LDAP. See also DAAP. fertilizer units and one coal factory. Each of the Urea fertilizer factories will have yearly production capacity of 300,000 tons. The Dap factories would facilitate supply of 250,000 tons. The project even includes a plant to supply 1.1 millions tons of phosphate element as input. Beyene said, completion of the construction phase will take around three years with the Urea factories being launched first and the others to be set up as per a schedule.”
የያዩ ማዳበሪያ ፋብሪካ፣ በሜይ 17ቀን 2015 እኤአ በኢትዩጵያ ሄራልድ ጋዜጣ ላይ በወጣው መረጃ መሠረት በያዩ ወረዳ፣ በኢሉ አባቦራ ዞን በ54 ሽህ ስኩየር ሜትር መሬት ላይ የተገነባው የያዩ ማዳበሪያ ፋብሪካ ሁለት የዩሪያና አንድ የዳፕ ፋብሪካዎች ስራን ያካትታል፡፡ፋብሪካዎቹ ሲጠናቀቁ 300,000 ሽህ ቶን ማዳበሪያ በአመት ያመርታሉ ተብሎ ቢታቀድም እቅዱ እንደከሸፈ ተገልፆል፡፡ የፋብሪካው ግንባታ በ11 ንኡስ ኮንትራክተሮች ተሰጥቶል፤ ማለትም ለማዳበሪያ ፋብሪካ፣ለተርማል ፓወርና ለኮል ማይኒግ ፕሮጀክቶች ይገኙበታል፡፡በአጠቃላይ 2,000 ሽህ ሠራተኞች ስራው ቢያከናውኑም እስካሁን ድረስ 11 ቢሊዩን ብር ወጥቶበት 28.8 በመቶ ብቻ ስራው መሠራቱን የመከላከያ ሚንስቴር፣የብረታ ብረት ኮርፖሬሽን (የሜቴክ) የኬሚካል ኢንደስትሪ ኮርፖሬሽን ዴሬክተር ጀነራል ተሾመ ለማና ካፒቴን ኢንጂነር ባያብል ይሁኔ ገልፀዋል፡፡ ተክለብርሃን አንባዬ ኮንስትራክሽን የግንባታውን የሲቨል ስራ በመስራት 42 በመቶ ማከናወኑን ገልፀዋል፡፡ ዋናዋና የፕሮጀክቶቹ ችግሮችን ሲገልፁም፤ የብድር አቅርቦት እጥረት፣ግዙፍ የጥልቅ የመሬት ቁፋሮ ማሽነሪዎች እጦት፣የካሳ ክፍያ መዘግየት፣የቦታው ቅዝዜማነት፣እንዲሁም ከውጭ ሃገራት የሚመጡ ማሽነሪዎችና እቃዎች ሳይመጡ መዘግየት ይገኙባቸዋል፡፡በመከላከያ ሚንስቴር፣የብረታ ብረት ኮርፖሬሽን የተገነባው የያዩ ማዳበሪያ ፋብሪካ በ2013/14 መጨረሻ ተጠናቀው ያልቃሉ ተብሎ ቢገመትም ያለአንዳች ጨረታና ያለበቂ ጥናት የተጀመሩት ፕሮጀክቶች ገንዘብ ውሃ በልቶቸዋል፡፡ ፋብሪካዎቹ በሁለተኛው የእድገትና ትራንስፎርሜሽን እቅድ በ2016/17 እኤአ ይደርሳሉ ብለው የብረታ ብረት ኮርፖሬሽን ወቶአደሮቹ ኢንጅነሮች ቃል ገብተዋል፡፡
የድንጋይ ከሰል የብረት ማዕድን ማውጫና ማቅለጫ ፋብሪካ፣የመከላከያ ሚንስቴር፣የብረታ ብረት ኮርፖሬሽን በኦሮሚያ ክልል ኢሉ አባ ቦራ ዞን ያዩ ወረዳ ቢቅላል አካባቢ፤ የድንጋይ ከሰል ሃብትን ጥቅም ላይ ለማዋል የብረት ማዕድን ማውጫና ማቅለጫ ፋብሪካ እያለማ ካለው 32 ሚሊዩን ቶን የድንጋይ ከሰል ክምችት ውስጥ ኮርፖሬሽኑ በየቀኑ 70 ቶን በማውጣት አይካ አዲስ ለተባለ የጨርቃ ጨርቅ ኢንደስትሪ እየሸጠ መሆኑን ተገልፆል፡፡ የድንጋይ ከሰል ሃብት ከማዳበሪያ ግብአትነት ባሻገር፣በተለይም ናፍጣን በመተካት፣ለኃይል ማመንጫነት፣ለሲሚንቶ ፋብሪካና ለቱብ ማምረቻነትም ያገለግላል፡፡ የብረታ ብረት ኮርፖሬሽን ዘርፍ ግዙፍ ኩባንያ የሆነው ስቲሲ አር ኤም አይ የኦፕሬሽንና የፖሊሲ ዋና ስራ አስኪያጅ አቶ ተፈራ ለማ አስቀድሞ ከውጭ ይገባ የነበረው ቢሌት(ጥቅል ፌሮ ብረት)ና የወደቁ ብረታ ብረቶችን (ስክራፕ) በማምረት ቆይቶል፡፡ አሁን በተገኘው የድንጋይ ከሰል ኃብት የብረት ማዕድን ማውጫና ማቅለጫ ፋብሪካ 300 ሽህ ሜትሪክ ቶን ብረት ማምረት ይቻላል ይላሉ የኮርፖሬሽኑ ዋና ስራ አስኪያጅ ብርጌዴር ጀነራል ጠና ቁሩንዴ፡፡ በተመሳሳይ ዜና ከኮርፖሬሽኑ የተገኘው መረጃ መሠረት ‹‹ቻንግሺ›› የተባለ የቻይና ኩባንያ ባጠናው ጥናት በዚያ አካባቢ ብቻ ከ179 ሚሊዩን ቶን በላይ የድንጋይ ከሰል ክምችት አለ፡፡ በየቀኑ አንድ ሽህ ቶን ማውጣት ቢቻል ከ40 አመት ለላላነሰ ጊዜ አገሪቱን ተጠቃሚ ያደርጋታል፡፡ መንግስታዊው ዘርፍ ሁሉን ማዕድን በሞኖፖል በመያዝ የግሉ ዘርፍ ባለሃብቶች አላሰራ ብለዋል፡፡ የግሉ ዘርፍ ኢንቨስተሮች ብዙ የብረታ ብረት ማቅለጫ ፋብሪካዎች በመገንባት ፈር ቀዳጅ የነበሩ ቢሆንም ጥናታቸው እየተወሰደ እንዳይሰሩ እየተደረጉ መሆኑን በዘርፉ የተሰማሩ ባለሃብቶች ይገልፃሉ፡፡

As part of its expansion, the Corporation has also agreed to replace the electric meters operated by the Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation. The project is valued at nine billion birr and is expected to replace electric meters with new ‘smart’ meters. The new ‘smart’ digital meters are expected to automatically register electric consumption and report back to EEPCo without requiring manual reading like the analog meters currently being used. However, MetEC has failed to deliver the commitment it owes to EEPCo.
As a result, the latter had to make an urgent and alternative deal with an Indian company. This also cost EEPCo more than USD 27 million foreign exchange. Hence, critics claim that these transformers could have been done by other local companies if MetEC hadn’t muscled them down.It is to be remembered that the Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation is requiring all factories in Ethiopia to install devices that guarantee efficient use of power. The Metal and Engineering Corporation has snatched the responsibility to produce the devices known as power factor correctors. The efficiency devices will be made available to all factories eventually on a one-year interest-free credit arrangement, according to EEPCo Officials.The efficiency devices are expected to adjust the difference between real power and apparent power in the use of electricity to a ratio of one. However, still, private companies face sort of a setback from the device being manufactured by MetEC, which forces them to pay the electric bill, including the power leakage due to inefficient power meter.

The corporation, which is involved in several mega governmental projects, is establishing large metal industries in the country, developing a range of plants in the mechanical sector, to help boost the country’s development. Sources at the corporation told Capital that MetEc is scheduled to establish several metal industries that shall feed major metal projects the corporation is engaged in. The corporation is currently in the process of purchasing 10 metal and metal-related industries already set up abroad and will arrange for their transfer to Ethiopia in order to set them up in the different regions in the country. According to these sources, corporation officials have been negotiating and making deals for nearly a year to buy up the above-mentioned industries in Asia for relocation. And even though the deals haven’t been finalised yet, it was indicated that MetEc plans to buy and relocate ten industries from China and India. According to experts, while these industries have been manufacturing products for the past several years in their respective countries, the corporation made the decision to purchase and transfer them here, because it would be less costly than establishing similar new industries. Our sources explained that the metal factories included in the purchase shall mainly be engaged in the production of metal spare parts, bolts and nuts and the likes. In dollar terms, nearly 60 percent of enterprises have been awarded to Al Amoudi-related companies.” https://www.wikileaks.org/plusd/cables/08ADDISABABA82_a.html Privatization and its challenges in Ethiopia…By Ezana Kebede, August 19, 2014 የመንግስት ልማት ድርጅቶች ተቆጣጣሪ ኤጀንሲ የሐማሬሳ የምግብ ዘይት ፋብሪካ 50 ሚሊዩን ብር ተሸጠ ኢትዩ-ኤሽያን ኢንደስትሪስ ለተባለው ኩባንያ ጥቅምት 30 2007 እኢአ ተሸጦል፡፡ ሐማሬሳ የምግብ ዘይት ፋብሪካ በ1983ዓም በአክሲዩን ማህበርነት እንዲዋቀር በተደረገበት ወቅት 81 ሚሊዩን ብር በተከፈለ ካፒታል ስራ መጀመሩን ፕራይቬታይዜሽን ኤጀንሲ መረጃዎች ይጠቁማሉ፡፡የ31ሚሊዩን ብር ቅናሽ የመሸጡ ሚስጢር ምን ይሆን!!! ወደ ግሉ ዘርፍ ንብረትነትና ባለቤትነትን የተዘዋወሩት ድርጅቶች የነበራቸው የሰው ሃይል ብዛት ወደ ግል ዘርፍ ከተዘዋወረ በኃላ ያለው የሰው ሃይል ቁጥር ለህዝብና ለጋዜጠኞች በየግዜው መገለፅ አለበት፡፡ የፕራይቬታይዜሽን ዋና ዓላማዎች ስራ ፈጠራ፣ምርታማነትን መጨመርና የገቢ ምንጭ በማዳበር የሃገራችንን ልማት ማፋጠን ናቸው፡፡ከዚህ አካEያ በኢትዬጵያ ፕራይቬታይዜሽን ወደ ብራይቬታይዜሽን መሸጋገሩ እሙን ሆኖል፡፡ በኢትጵያ የቴሌኮምኒኬሽን አገልግሎት (ሞባይል)፣የሬዲዬና የቴሌቨዝን አገልግሎቶች፣ባንኮች፣ኢንሹራንስና ፋይናንሻል ኮርፖሬሽኖች ፣የመርከብ ዕቃን የማገEገE¹ አገልግሎት ፣የአየር መንገድ፣ የአውሮፕላን ማረፊያ፣ከመንግስት ዘርፍ ወደ ግሉ ዘርፍ ንብረትነት የሚዘዋወሩት መቼ ነው፡፡ የመሬት ሃብት ከኢህአዲግ መንግስት ንብረትነትና የኮንዶሚኒየም የቤቶች ግንባታ፣ ከመንግስት ዘርፍ ወደ ግሉ ዘርፍ ንብረትነት የሚዘዋወሩት መቼ ነው፡፡ተቃዋሚ ፓርቲዎች፣ ጋዜጠኞች ምሁራን ተጨማሪ ጥናቶች በማድረግ ለህዝብ ማሳወቅ የዜግነት ግዴታና ሃላፊነት አለባቸው፡፡ በመከላከያ ሚኒስትር ስር የሚገኘው የብረታ ብረትና ኢንጂነሪንግ ኮርፖሬሽን ሲጀምር ከአስራሁለት እስከ አስራ አምስት የሚደርሱ የተለያዩ ከደርግ/ወታደራዊው መንግስት በተወረሱ ፋብሪካዎችን ሥራ የጀመረ ድርጅት ነው፡፡ ሜቴክ በ2010 እኤአ በአስር ቢሊዩን (10,000,000,000)ብር መነሻ ካፒታል የተመሠረተ ድርጅት ነው ይሉናል፡፡ በአሁኑ ግዜ በህወሃት/ኢህአዴግ መንግስት ዘመን ከስባ አምስት እስከ መቶ ፋብሪካዎች በላይ ያሰባሰበ ድርጅት ለመሆን ችሎል፡፡የመንግስት ልማት ድርጅቶች ተቆጣጣሪ ኤጀንሲ ከታች የተዘረዘሩትን ድርጅቶች እንዴት ለሜቴክ አስተላለፈ በሽያጭ፣ በወለድ አግድ፣ በስጦታ በሙስና እንደሆነ የህወሃትና የኤጀንሲው ሹማምንት የነበሩት ሁሉ ለኢትዩጵያ ህዝብ መግለፅ ታሪካዊ ግዴታ አለባቸው አንድ ቀን ለህዝብ ፍርድ መቅረባችሁ አይቀርም፡፡ የአቃቂ መሠረታዊ ብረታ ብረት ኢንደስትሪ (Akaki Basic Metals Industry (ABMI) የተከፈለ ካፒታሉ( Paid-up Capital) 142,298,000 የኢትዩጵያ ብር ወይም 8,345,924 ዩኤስ ዶላር እንደነበር የመንግስት ልማት ድርጅቶች ተቆጣጣሪ ኤጀንሲ በድረ-ገፅ አስታውቆ፣ ለሜቴክ በነፃ ያለጨረታ አበረከቱለት፡፡የሌሎቹ በደርግ ዘመን የተወረሱ ፋብሪካዎች የደጀን አቨየሽን ኢንጂነሪንግ ኮምፕሌክስ፣የጋፋት ኢንጂነሪንግ ፋብሪካ፣የናዝሬት የትራክተር መገጣጠሚያ ፋብሪካ፣ የናዝሬት የልብስና ጨርቃ ጨርቅ ኢንደስትሪ ፣የብሸፍቱ አውቶሞቲቨ ኢንደስትሪ ፣ የኢትዩጵያ ፕላስቲክ ኢንደስትሪ፣ህብረት ማኑፋክቸሪንግና የማሸን ግንባታ ኢንደስትሪ ፣ ሆሚቾ የጦር መሣሪያ ኢንጅነሪንግ ኢንደስትሪ፣የብረት ፋብሪኬሽን ኢንደስትሪና ኤሌትሪክ ኃይል ኢንጅነሪንግ ኢንደስትሪ የተከፈለ ካፒታል ሳይገለፅ በስውር ለሜቴክ ተበረከቱ፡፡ ሜቴክ የፋብሪካዎቹን ስማቸውን በመቀየር በአስር ቢሊዩን ብር የተቆቆመ ድርጅት ለመባል በቃ!!! የመንግስት ልማት ድርጅቶች ተቆጣጣሪ ኤጀንሲ ዴሬክተር ጀነራል ከአሰፋ አብርሃ እስከ በየነ ገብረመስቀል ያላችሁ ከላይ የተዘረዘሩት ካንፓኒዎች ለሜቴክ እንዴት እንደተላለፉ መግለጫ ቢሰጡበት የስልጣን ወንበራቸውን ይቆረቁራቸው ይሆን፣አንድ ቀን ያስጠይቃል፣ ህሊናን በግዜው ይጠቀሙበት!!!
